Black & White

I was recently given a book of photographs taken in our National Parks by Ansel Adams in 1941, commissioned by the US Department of Interior to celebrate our country's natural heritage.  His search for and use of perfect light to accentuate majestic ridges, cliffs, deep valleys, crystal lakes, rock textures and layers of clouds is inspiring.   I am amazed at the seemingly infinite dynamic range of black to white.  The following are my attempts at Black & White photography.
